Playa Minas constitutes one the most important nesting sites in Costa Rica. Large numbers of turtles arrive from October until March/ April usually at night. For this tour you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to Playa Las Minas where turtles are nesting. You will be able to see the black turtles and if you are lucky there will also be some of the very rare leatherback turtles. The beautiful scene of the stars, the moon and the ocean makes the perfect set-up for this incredible experience with nature. Your guide will have infra red light, so that you will be able to clearly see the turtles and take your own pictures. Expect some waiting time and be prepared to sit on the sand. To make sure that you see the turtles it is sometime necessary to take a hike to a close by beach.

Gaze off the bow with a cold tropical drink prepared and served by the crew as you scan the seas for dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish or even whales. Stop in a tranquil bay, drop anchor and frolic in the blue Pacific. A legend tells that after God was done painting the sky, he washed the brushes in this river. The colors at Rio Celeste are truly magnificent, and this hike will take you to lots of picture perfect sights. Once at Tenorio Volcano National Park your guide will give a short introduction, and then the hike starts going through the tropical rain forest, where fauna and flora are plentiful. During the hike we will visit “Los Teñideros”, where two stream of crystalline water come together and form the astonishing blue color that gives the river its name. On the hike you also come by the volcano’s furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures. On the way you will also get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose colors makes it one of a kind!
Next we go to the Sloths Sanctuary , where we get to see 2 different species of sloths and wildlife in their natural habitat. This creatures are truly majestic.

The Miravalles Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica. Its main activity is compound of gas emanations and geysers which are used by the government in a geothermal project to produce electricity.
The first place you will visit is "Las Hornillas", an area situated at the foot of the volcano.
